Bedroom Suites
The Retreat has six luxurious bedrooms for up to 12 guests comfortably. The rooms are styled and arranged with distinct character. While some rooms sleep two guests, others are adaptable to sleeping three guests if required. Every bedroom is furnished with high quality linen, towels, deluxe toiletries, robes and slippers.
Honoring the equestrian heritage brought by the previous and current owners of The Retreat, all of our bedrooms are named after horses that hold special significance to the country house.
Arkle
The master bedroom of the house. The spacious bedroom overlooks the exquisite gardens and features its own distinct ensuite bathroom.
Bed: Superking zip ‘n link (can be made into 2 beds if required).
Whyso Mayo
Whyso Mayo is a bedroom of the equal size to Arkle. This room enjoys the most splendid view in the entire house, looking out over both the gardens and adjacent fields. This bedroom shares a “Jack and Jill” bathroom with the adjoining room Golden Grove Zara making it an ideal family suite.
Bed: Superking zip ‘n link (can be made into 2 beds if required).
Golden Grove Zara
Golden Grove Zara, one of our more quaint bedrooms with a view out onto the front lawn. It shares the “Jack and Jill” bathroom with bedroom Whyso Mayo.
Bed: Twin beds with two pull out guest beds if required.
Convent Hill Diamond
Wake up to the sound of the birds singing in this exquisite room which overlooks our apple trees and gardens to the west of the house. This room has its own large ensuite bathroom with jazzy decor!
Bed: Superking zip 'n link (can be made into 2 beds if required).
Oscar Delta
This room gets the best of the morning sun and is unique with both sink and mirror in the room itself and its own bathroom next door.
Bed: King Size zip ‘n link (can be made into 2 beds if required).
Phoenix Arizona
This room occupies the entire top floor of the north wing of the house and overlooks the Courtyard. It comes with a bathroom next door.
